One way that you can save on your maintenance cost is by installing climbing equipment that does not require any maintenance. Ladders that are economical, yet durable and safe, can save you a lot of money over time. In addition, they will reduce the risk of accidents and liability. Access Industrial offers fixed and portable FRP ladders for applications in corrosive environments. Our ladders are sturdy and have fluted rungs that provide ultimate skid resistance. Access Industrial’s ladders come complete with FRP wall attachment brackets and 316 Stainless Steel or FRP bolting hardware. Once installed, they not require any maintenance at all. FRP ladders will last as long as, or longer than, the structure they are attached.
AccessGrate™ pultruded grating is the workhorse of all FRP gratings. We stock it in standard sizes: 3 ft x 10 ft, or 4 ft x 10 ft. AccessGrate™ molded gratings are suitable for a wide range of corrosive environments and are available in standard sizes: 3ft x 10ft, 5ft x 10ft and 4ft x 12ft. AccessGrate™ molded gratings deflect more than AccessGrate™ pultruded gratings, but because of their bidirectional molded structure, they are an economical choice in areas where a large number of penetrations through the grating is required for ducts and pipes.
FRP Safety Landings For Manholes
Budgets for underground infrastructure get tighter every day. One way municipalities can save on their maintenance budget is having manhole safety landings that do not require any maintenance. The engineers at Access Industrial have therefore developed maintenance free safety landings that are made out of FRP. Access Industrial FRP Safety Landings are available for 1200 mm, 1500 mm, and 1800 mm manholes. They are in full compliance with the structural and lay out requirements of the Ontario standard requirements for safety landings, except they are better. In fact, they are better because they are not made of metal. FRP safety landings will never corrode and will offer problem free operation for the life of your manhole.
FRP Platforms for Corrosive Environments
Access Industrial offers a wide variety of standard FRP platforms. They are suitable for wastewater plants, sewers, the chemical industry and other corrosive environments. We have economical solutions for containment areas and trench covers. In addition we have many standard solutions for equipment and access platforms. Many of these platforms can be turned into a custom solution with just a few tweaks, saving you precious time and money. All of our standard FRP structures come complete with CAD shop drawings, an engineer’s stamp, seal and installation supervision.
Access Industrial designs and manufactures FRP covers for weather and odor protection. Our FRP covers cost significantly less than stainless steel, aluminum poured-in-place concrete covers. The corrosion resistance of FRP makes it a very suitable cover material for use at a wastewater treatment plant. All our FRP covers come in “kit form”. and are shipped flat to the job site. Joints between the panels and connectors are bolted and bonded during assembly. Other connections are available where removal of the panels is needed. We can include hatches and view ports wherever you need them. Covers can be, made fire-retardant for indoor applications. We equip our covers with UV inhibitors and a surface veil for enhanced UV and corrosion protection.
FRP Trail Bridges
Access Industrial designs and builds durable Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) trail bridges. These bridges are designed for decades of continuous use in locations where access is difficult. FRP is the ideal material for trail bridges because of its strength and its ability to stand up to the rot that plagues wooden bridges. Our FRP trail bridges are lightweight and require no special skills to assemble. As they require no maintenance, ideally suited for use on nature trails and other sensitive, difficult-to-access, locations.
FRP Weirs and Scum Baffles
Weirs in water and in wastewater treatment plants are used to regulate the inflow of water into launders or troughs. They control inflow with their elevation. Weirs are available with rectangular and V- shaped notches. Both are used to regulate the flow rate. Access Industrial makes weirs out of FRP. They are supplied as a kit. They come complete with 316 stainless steel anchors, FRP washers and a comprehensive installation manual. Don’t want to install them your self? No problem!
